The late Zaha Hadid’s Miami pad sells for nearly half price

Miami home of late starchitect Zaha Hadid sold for just $5.75 million, almost half the original ask. The spread at the W South Beach, which has three bedrooms over 2,541 square feet, first went on the market in the spring of 2017 asking $10 million.

Hadid, a formidable design-world figure who died in 2016 of a sudden heart attack, had stayed at the apartment when working on area condo tower One Thousand Museum.

The listing broker was Angelica Garcia of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty.

We also hear that Boston Celtics player Aron Baynes paid $1.58 million for a four-bedroom, three-bathroom townhouse at Walnut Park Condominiums in Newton, Mass.

Douglas Elliman’s George Sarkis had the listing.
